Miles Alexander is a Managing Director for North Sea Partners in Europe and is based in London. He has over 15 years experience in leveraged finance, M&A and corporate finance in a variety of sectors and has been involved in numerous corporate and private equity transactions, both from a principal and an investor perspective. He has worked across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Prior to joining North Sea Partners, Mr. Alexander worked for the Indian group Tata, where he was head of M&A for Tata Steel in Europe and the Americas. He was responsible for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals in metals and mining and also worked on transactions in distribution, transportation, energy and renewables. Before joining Tata, he established Ares Management in Europe. He was responsible for fund raising, portfolio management and was head of the European capital markets team. He was a member of the global credit committee and on the investment committee for the European mid-market lead arrange business. Before Ares, Mr. Alexander worked for GE Capital in leveraged finance, including sponsor coverage, deal origination, credit and portfolio management. He has also worked for GE in consulting and audit. He started his career in Paris working for the insurer AGF as financial controller covering Spain and Latin America. Mr. Alexander is fluent in French and Spanish and has an MBA from ESADE business school in Barcelona.
