Co-Chief Executive Officer
Michael (Mickey) Brennan is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of North Sea Partners. Mr. Brennan has over two decades of global experience in the trading, research and distribution of credit market securities. Mr. Brennan was co-head of Global Credit and Loan Distribution at Citigroup in New York, and prior to that, he was head of High Yield and Distressed Securities Sales, Trading and Research at Citigroup in London. Under his direction, Citigroup was consistently ranked among the top three underwriters of global high yield securities. From 2001 to 2004 he was the head of high yield sales at Credit Suisse in their London office.
During his career, Mr. Brennan has been instrumental in the largest and most prominent global high yield and leveraged buyout transactions, including, Allison Transmission Inc., Alltel Corp., Clear Channel Communications Inc., CMS Energy Corp., Dollar General Corp., Edison Mission Energy, El Paso Corp., First Data Corp., Ford Motor Company, Frontier Communications Corp., GMAC, Harrahs Entertainment Inc., Hawker Beechcraft Inc., LyondellBasell, MGM Mirage, Realogy Corp., Rite Aid Corp., Sungard Data Systems, Texas Competitive Electric Holdings Co LLC, US Oncology Inc., and United Surgical Partners International Inc., among others in the US. His European transactions include Antenna TV SA, Ardagh Glass Ltd, Digicel Group Ltd, Eco-Bat Technologies Ltd, Fage Dairy Industry SA, Gateway Communications UK Limited, Inmarsat PLC, Intelsat Ltd, Mauser Industriebeteiligungen GmbH, Riverdeep Group and Yioula Glassworks SA. Mr. Brennan was a pioneer in creating the South Africa high yield market, and led the Cell C Pty Ltd, Consol Glass Ltd, Foodcorp Ltd, Peermont Global Pty Ltd and New Reclamation Group Pty Ltd transactions.
Mr. Brennan is a founding board member of Gateway Communications and Custom Vault Securities. An active philanthropist, Mr. Brennan is a director of the TLOA Fund, the Rogers Memorial Library Foundation and the Friends of The Bay. He is a graduate of Iona College.
