Co-Chief Executive Officer
David B. Miller is Co-Chief Executive Officer of North Sea Partners LLC. Mr. Miller has over 25 years of experience in the securities industry.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Miller was a Senior Managing Partner at Bear Wagner Specialist and Wagner Stott and Co., both NYSE member firms. He began his career at Wagner Stott in 1981 by opening their Chicago office. He was instrumental in developing their proprietary stock index arbitrage unit and their option clearing business which was sold to Merrill Lynch. In 1990, Mr. Miller moved to New York and subsequently joined the executive team as Chief Financial Officer, where he established and spearheaded the development of a Nasdaq operation for Wagner Stott which he then sold to Fidelity. Mr. Miller completed several transactions for Wagner Stott, including the merger with Mercator Partners, the merger with CMJ Partners, and ultimately, the sale of Wagner Stott to Bear Stearns.
Most recently Mr. Miller developed and was the instructor for the course “Responsible Moral Leadership” at Northeastern University College of Business Administration. He is currently an investor in Hub Angels, a Boston based angel investment group.
Mr. Miller is a past member of the New York Futures Exchange, the Chicago Board Options Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Miller is a former board member of Clear Pool Inc., East Woods School, The Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum and The Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club, and he currently serves on the member’s committee of The 2013 U.S. Women’s Open at Sebonack Golf Club.
Mr. Miller holds a BA in microbiology from Harvard College and an MBA in corporate finance from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
